Jay Regains Mr Olympia Title, Dexter Takes Third!
In a fierce battle at the strongest Mr Olympia ever, two-time Mr Olympia Jay Cutler defeated reigning champ Dexter Jackson to take his third Mr Olympia title! Branch Warren took second place, Dexter took third, fourth place was awarded to Kai Greene, a disappointed Phil Heath took fifth pace and Victor Martinez completed the top six. Khalid Almohsinawi takes Eighth at Atlantic City Pro 2009!
At the Atlantic City Pro 2009, held on September 11 and 12, Dutch athlete KhalidAlmohsinawi took eighth place in the Open Class. The winner in this class was Gustavo Badell. Dutchie Mascha Tieken took sixteenth in both the Ladies Figure and Ladies Figure Masters classes. Khalid Almohsinawi Two Weeks Out
On August 25th, 2009, Khalid Almohsinawi was working out at For Fun Sports, Mascha Tieken's gym in the Netherlands. Just two and a half weeks out from the Atlantic City Pro, Khalid showed great conditioning, which - knowing him - will only improve, and improve dramatically, during the final two weeks leading up to the contest. Rob, Mascha's boyfriend, took some shots of Khalid while he was over there, and you can check these out here.

Results Europa Super Show 2009
On August 14 and 15, 2009, the sixteenth edition of the Europa Super Show was staged in Dallas, Texas. The Men's class over 202 pounds saw Dennis James take his second pro victory this year. Big Bill Willmore took second place, and Joel Stubbs progressed from fourteenth in 2008 to a third place in this edition. Check out all results of the Europa Super Show 2009 here.

Khalid Almohsinawi Three Weeks Out of Atlantic City Pro 2009
Three weeks before his performance at the Atlantic City Pro 2009, Khalid Almohsinawi was working out hard at Spartacus Gym, Almere, Netherlands, with training partner Robin Brantz and buddies Gabi Cornejo, Fasat and Hassan. Khalid was close to his contest weight and looked great. During the workout session, some nice pictures were taken by Hassan, that I do not want to hold back! Photo shoot with Arnold Classic contestant Robin Brantz - March 20, 2009
On Friday March 20th, 2009, I finally had Dutch bodybuilder Robin Brantz in front of my camera. We first agreed to have the photo shoot done the week before – when Robin just returned from his Arnold Classic performance – but that did not go through because Robin did not feel too well. Luckily he felt good now! The photo shoot and the interview went very well. Robin is a genuine nice guy with no diva-like behavior, and that is great when you want to work with people. NAC World Championships 2009 Contest Results and Pictures
A total of 163 athletes from 21 countries went into battle for top honors in their class at the NAC WorldChampionships 2009. Most top spots were taken by male and female athletes from Hungary, and the overall title in the Men's Body division was taken by Hungarian behemoth Mihaly Kormany. Overall top honors in the Figure class was taken by Natalia Bystrova from Russia, who looked absolutely superb. In the Men's Athletic classes, the overall title went to Ferenc Nagy from Hungary. NAC World Championships 2009
On June 6, 2009, the NAC staged the World Championships Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure in The Hague, Netherlands. A total of 164 competitors (not counting the couples), divided into twelve classes, worked hard to be victorious in their respective class. The show was amazing, and the quality of the contestants and the organization of the contest itself shows the NAC is not the obscure bodybuilding federation some make it out to be. During the fourteen hours the contest lasted, including prejudging and short breaks, I took close to 3500 pictures. After the main selection, a total of 2924 pictures survived my scrutiny, and are now posted in the contest gallery. Pictures and Results Artemis Cup 2009
On Sunday May 17, 2009, the YBF organized the second edition of the Artemis Cup. A total of 62 athletes divided into 18 classes competed onstage. Contest promoter Diana Kamies was the first person in the Netherlands who on stage acknowledged the importance of bodybuilder Randy Vogelzang, who deceased earlier this year, and announced the best posing trophy for the male and female athletes were to be named the Randy Vogelzang Best Posing Awards. Contest Gallery Artemis Cup 2009
The second edition of the Dutch Artemis Cup was held on May 17, 2009. There was a strong field of 62 athletes, but the contest also featured the first Randy Vogelzang Best Posing Awards. The pictures are a bit darker and sometimes less sharp than I expected, which was caused by a combination of the venue's lighting and my own camera settings. Juliëtte Bergmann Cup 2009
The JBC 2009, named after Dutch two-time Miss Olympia Juliëtte Bergmann, was held on Sunday March 29, 2009 in Mijdrecht, The Netherlands. It was a well-organized contest, and I came back with a lot of pictures. After throwing away the worst ones, I was left with 1377 pictures. They're not all perfect, but fun to watch nonetheless!
